Must we all define happiness with the terms "happy" or "enthusiastic", or even "right".
Happiness has its own definition; as do many other words in the English dictionary and the opinions of a million others obscure the original and intended version. That version, I believe, is what makes someone happy regardless of surrounding circumstances and/or false expectations. They could even be raging mad yet in a state of which they consider themselves to be at their happiest peak and to another, out of control. As they say, "no one knows you better than yourself", so it is not really in anyone's place to judge anyone but themselves, unless granted with enough ignorance from another to authorize a quick scan and delete.

Humans are born with different adaptabilities with different situations, you cannot take one scene and expect a certain emotion to surface in result.
i.e: A family home full of "love and life". One within that household may not agree with the concept and in their nature, will oppose it; because we are all different. And since the opposer in question is the minority, they will automatically be disowned, if not, emotionally.
It's the same as the other way around: An abusive family home with one person who just wants someone to smile and hug.

Stop expecting things to turn out like they do in movies, books, vivid imagination and pure desire. Things will go as they go, as long as people stop riding society's infected cock and start thinking and acting for themselves. I think the damage has been done though.
